That's what I've been trying to tell people in this forum. People make God complicated through trying to split hairs about "religion" when the truth is so simple. Seek Him and you will find Him. Forsake Him and He will forsake you. For those who like to call God "unfair" this should help clear things up a bit, no?

As I said when you posted this question previously, as my name is not Solomon (the person to whom God is speaking), it doesn't mean a whole lot to me. However, for the sake of argument, let's assume that God means "you" in the sense of all mankind.

I believe in my god and goddess. Why should I be concerned if your god forsakes me?

It makes me think "So much for a God who loves you unconditionally". Most people try to push the idea that God loves you more than anything you can ever imagine and mourns when people don't accept him or whatnot. But this shows a different aspect.. "If you don't do what I say, then you're out."

I find no comfort in that statement.

It's a nice verse, but like Kenny said, you already have to believe for a verse to apply. I'm somewhat personally disgusted with people who say to go find the truth for myself, and when I do and its not a truth they like, they say keep looking until I agree with them.
I sought, for many years. I did not find Christianity to be true in my heart.
That's what I think of it.

There is one thing that God cannot do despite His Omni-presence, Omni-science etc. God cannot stop loving you and me. If we seek the Lord, we will find Him, even when we have found Him but still goes astray,iIf we come before Him asking for forgivess, God will forgive us.

I think that is true as I am trying to find God...I am sure God is w/ us always inside of us, and we just need to see him somehow & become aware...

Another verse I can't find is that if you take one step towards God, he will run towards you...It is from the Qu'ran or may be a hadith; i will double-check.

I like it very much. As an atheist who's been through and is still going through a lot of quesitoning, it speaks a great deal of truth to me.

Man only remember God when they are in trouble & want something from Him. There is another similar verse which Jesus says; If you deny me before man, I shall deny you
before my Father in Heaven.

Once again - doesn't sound like the god who wrote that really understands the concept of true love.

Oh well ...

Hmm, so if you come to the conclusion that god doesn't exist, according to this you weren't "sincere" about it? Well that's convenient! "Anyone who disagrees with me about the existance of X wasn't sincere in finding out about X"
