The term ransom is easily misconstrued, and may even be a poor choice of words in translation.

Jesus gave himself so we could be freed from slavery to Satan, sin, and death, but he gave nothing at all to Satan.

Anything Jesus did was strictly for the benefit of mankind, and to give glory, praise, and honor, to his Father in heaven.

Any "ransom" Jesus paid was most certainly only to God ... and most certainly NOT to the devil, who deserved only punishment.

He was sent as a prophet to teach about God's holy word of Torah because the people were being guided away from God and Torah by the reforms and traditions of the Pharisees.

Too many people believe in doctrine and not scripture itself. The Church teaches he came down to die, but its scripture that teaches he came to teach God's Torah and bring the people back to God.

Jesus came to free mankind from all sins should they accept His free gift of salvation.

If the majority of people on here thought that 1+1=5 would you also believe that?
