You've got to get some protein into your diet especially since you exercise. Turkey (esp. white meat) is an excellent protein source. But seriously, why do you think that you need to lose weight? BTW potatoes are simple carbs that convert directly to sugar and are among the worst "diet food" choices you could make. Opt for fresh green veggies, salads, very lean meats, fruits and lots of fiber for the best weight loss results.

You may lose weight because you are not eating much and you are very active but i suggest eating more of a variety of foods for your healths sake. Eating the same things everyday is usually not healthy unless those things are fruits and vegetables. If i were you and wanted to lose weight i would skip the mashed potatoes, rice and turkey and find fruits, vegetables and lean meat (turkey is good if prepared the right way EX baked and not fried) Know portion control and keep working. You will feel more energized and healthy doing what i described...trust me.

A male at 6" tall and 170 pounds is normal. Why would you want to lose weight if you aren't overweight? I don't really understand why you asked this question. But if weightloss is what you desire, drink lots of water and eat about 6 small portions of healthy fruits and veggies along with at least 6 ounces of protein a day and you will definately shed the pounds.

First if you are 6 foot and weigh 170, you do not need to loose weight! Second the diet you mention is not healthy. Eating mostly white foods-carbs-potatoes is very unhealthy. You need to cut out this kind of food, not have it me your major food source.
I would be interested in knowing why you think you need to loose weight in the first place.

No, dude, I don't think so. Potatoes and rice are rich in carbs and, I'm sure you move around your work enough,I think you'll end up gaining weight. It's just too much carbs, that's the problem. Plus, I used to work at a restaurant too, and it's not the same as exercising at the gym. It's got something to do with doing cardio, I guess.

Look the white meat is good, but the potatoes and rice nono, carbs, you need to stay away from those. Once in a while there good but, not every day. Have veggies or a salad even some fruit. Believe me you will see the weight go down. Good luck.

first of all it doesnt sound like you are overweight to begin with. It would probably be better to eat a few combo bars - energy/protein - something with about 200 calories. Drink plenty of fluid and eat raw vegetables. Stay away from Carbs as they mess around with your insulin levels. Small portions, plenty of water (little to no caffeine) frequently and you should be in good shape. Again - it doesn't sound like you are overweight.

i don't think so but I am not sure you are eating 2 starches in one meal and very little protein I don't think that is a very healthy diet specially because starches turn into sugar than into fat potatoes are very starchy cut out the potatoes and eat the rice or cut the rice and eat the potatoes just rotate I would not eat them both at the same time.
