Hi sallydog - you poor thing. I had a kidney stone that took six days to pass. If there's still blood in the urine, the stone is most likely still there; to be sure, get another urinalysis at your doctor's office or local lab. They'll check for hematuria (blood in the urine). The smallest kidney stone can cause a lot of pain and blood enters the urine (even if you can't see it) . The paramedics who picked me up said it's more painful than childbirth. If the blood is absent from irritating a ureter while you're trying to pass the stone, it got by you (i.e. it's gone). Hang in there - if it's not gone already, it will be soon. I feel for you and hope you're healed soon.

If pain disappears it does not automatically mean that the stone is out.Stone can still be there attached to another place in ureter or bladder. Fistly how were you sure the pain is because of a stone. A thick blood clot also can cause pain like a stone.A clot can come out as loose RBC. See a doctor.
