I agree with funnyrob0, but I'd also add the Cloisters, which are a part of the Met. Don't forget about the other parts of NY State also! For example, West Point, The NYS Museum in Albany, Martin Van Buren's House in Kinderhook, Washington's Headquarters in Newburgh, FDR's House and Vanderbuilt Mansion in Hyde Park, The Corning Glass Museum, Niagara Falls, the Saratoga Race Track, Lake George, Lake Champlain, Lucille Ball's House, and the many State Parks in NY. Also, the Adirondack and Catskill Mountains are beautiful, expecially during the fall foliage season. There is great skiing there in the winter!

1. Times Square
2. Central Park

4. Any Broadway Show (they are all great)
5. Statue of Liberty
6. St. Patrick's Cathedral
7. Metropolitan Museum of Arts
8. Shop along 5th Avenue (or just walk )
9. The Zoo :)
10. Eat at some nice famous places( like Planet Hollywood and Hard Rock Cafe )

I didn't suggest Ground Zero because it's kind of depressing...

depends on what part of ny. nyc?,upstate?,wny? nyc..obviously the statue of liberty,empire state bldg.brooklyn bridge,ellis island....upstate ny..harriet tubman house,erie canal...wny..niagra falls, more erie canal sites...check with a travel agent on sites to visit
