I believe that Jesus is part of God and He came to Earth born to a virgin to save us of our sins. I believe that Jesus was pure and committed no sins even though he was tempted. I believe that Jesus was crucified on Calvary for the world's wrongful desires. I believe that the curtain that separated the priests and God was torn in half and the ground split upon His death. I believe that Jesus died for three days and then came back to life. I believe that Jesus walked the earth and showed the people his wounds and that He is alive. Then He rose to Heaven to prepare it with the promise of return again. I believe that God is a merciful God and that is why God had to look away from His son as He died for our impure thoughts and actions. I believe anyone who believes in Him will not parish but have ever-lasting life.

DPV. Why did Jesus have to die for our sins anyway? If God is all powerful, why not just have Him say, "Eh, don't worry about it." Why a blood sacrifice because even though some people are good, no one is perfect?

Before christ, christian got no symbolic thing to worship, after christ died on the cross, there is a new symbol (bridge) for human to worship the real God. If jesus never died on the cross, how do we know we worship the one and only truth God, everyone will start worshipping (face the wall) sun, moon,or the monk with curly hair.

I do not believe he died for our sins, and I really wish he'd written his own book before allowing his crucifixion because I think there's a lot more to the story than was written.

Well, that depends on how you perceive yourself. If you are not sinning or sinners, you might not need Jesus.

He died for our sins and you can receive his spirit as proof that he is resurrected. Call on the name of Jesus and he will send his spirit to live in you!
then you will know why he did it!

jesus did not die for our sins and life is too short to spend it debating religious dogma. a truly spiritual person is too busy making a difference in other peoples lives with actions and deeds
