1.) Do you think you would ever consider adopting a child from an orphanage? _____ Yes. For genetic reasons, I don't think it would be responsible or ethical to have children of my own.
2.) Do you think you would ever consider adopting a child from a foster home? _____ Yes Absolutely.
3.) Which kind of home do you think is a good place for a child to live? (Mark all that apply)
____An adoptive home As long as it's a good home where the child is treated with respect.
4.) Do you think that orphanages should still be in operation? _____ Yes Otherwise people wouldn't be able to easily adopt. And were else would all these unwanted children go?
5.) If someone can not provide for a child, or if they do not want to have the child then what do you think the person should do? (Mark all that apply)
____ Abortion___ Birth control_____Find a home for the child Birth Control being the first choice. Abortion being last, but still better than an unwanted child living on the streets.

2.) Do you think you would ever consider adopting a child from a foster home? Yes
3.) Which kind of home do you think is a good place for a child to live? (Mark all that apply)
An adoptive home or a supportive foster home.
4.) Do you think that orphanages should still be in operation? I'd like to say no, but in some places it's better than nothing at all.
5.) If someone can not provide for a child, or if they do not want to have the child then what do you think the person should do? (Mark all that apply)
Birth control should be the first option, abortion if you believe in that sort of thing, adoption is a good option. Some places like Japan have sort of a "drop off" where unwanted children are taken and left at a hospital to be cared for until adopted.

Do you think you would ever consider adopting a child from an orphanage?
Love to, but I rather doubt we would be approved because of age
Do you think you would ever consider adopting a child from a foster home?
See answer to 1
Which kind of home do you think is a good place for a child to live? (Mark all that apply)
A loving adoptive home is the best chose, a modern well run orphanage is probably second because there is more oversight than with foster families and the kids are given some stability, not constantly moved from one situation to the next. Yes, I know there are good foster homes but you are really rolling the dice with young and very precious lives.
Do you think that orphanages should still be in operation?
If properly run they serve a need.
If someone can not provide for a child, or if they do not want to have the child then what do you think the person should do? (Mark all that apply)
I think it is a little late for birth control after the child is born. If they don’t want the child they should find a good home for the child as quickly as possible. There are many good people who would love to adopt.

1. Yes. I would consider adopting from an orphanage. :)
2. Yes. I would also consider from a foster home. ;)
3. Hmm... I would probably think a foster home and an adoptive home is what I would choose. But honestly, I think the BEST place for a child.. is within a loving home. <3
4. Yes?
5. If a person cannot provide for a child, then I think they should totally use some sort of birth control. I do also believe in abortion... though not in the last stage of pregnancy. If all these fail... then of course, adoption is the better route. :(

You didn't ask why for any of those so your survey isn't very thorough or accurate.

1,) Yes, but it is difficult in my state for those who practice a non-mainstream religion to be approved for adoption.
2.) Yes, because my parents took in foster children when I was growing up. But we'd have the same problem as in #1
3.) Other--with parents, Other--with relatives, An adoptive home, A foster home, A boarding school. In that order. But, any of these options can bee good or poor choices depending on the specific people/institutions involved.
4.) Yes, if they fill a need and are beneficial to the child.
5.) I think this is really two separate questions and the answers would differ depending on whether the parents wanted the child or not. I've tried to list the options in order from best to worst.
Birth control, Other--sterilization, Find a home for the child, Ask for help (if they have the desire to keep the child), Abortion (in cases of rape, danger to the health of the mother, or severe handicap of the child), Keep the child anyways (as long as they wanted the child and would try to provide a physically and emotionally healthy home for them). Leave the child at the hospital is a last resort.
I'd be interested in hearing about the results from your survey.
