Slowing down the CD won't help you because it's digital and won't play unless it's at the required speed. It's not like a record or a tape.

What you need to do is to upload your CD into yopur computer and then use a sound editor to edit the music. You can slow it down, repeat small sections, modify it... whatever you need.

There are a few free programs out there for editing.

Most CD players have an A -> B playback mode. It lets you start and stop playback for a section of the CD that you choose. Read the manual to see how to activate it on your player. You should be able to replay whatever section of any song you want, over and over, until you get the riff.

put it in a computer
some programs might let you slow down the song a little bit,
but the pitch will also be decreased
(lower speed=lower pitch)
and that might be a problem if ur trying to learn on guitar...
