I have a Sony stereo amp that takes normal speaker ends that you push the twisted wire end into. The bose cube speakers have RCA ends on them, and it appears there's 1 jack per channel. Normal speaker wire has two wires per channel. Can anyone advise me on this? The came as part of the house I bought.

An RCA jack has two wires in it. The middle one is positive. What you are attempting to do is not a good idea however, because contrary to what Bose would like us to believe their little cube speakers are not designed to handle high power of even a full range signal. I would suggest selling the Bose speakers on eBay and getting some decent full range speakers.

You will have to get the same rca plug to plug it in to the speaker using the tip for positive and the outer ring for negative but also you must use a 100uf or less non polarized capacitor in line on the positive side of each one to prevent bass frequencies from passing through to the cubes,, Because the cubes are basically a mid tweeter speaker and the crossover is located in the subwoofer box

If they came as part of the house you bought, it means that it was a built in system. The previous owners took the Acoustimass module (subwoofer) and the CD player unit.

Unfortunatly, with the Bose built in units, these are required for them to function.

does that answer your question?

the RCA jacks have two wires in them. if you want to cut the connector off and strip the wire back to find there is a conductor in the middle(+) and there is one near the outside of the wire(-). i would solder the ends myself because the wires will be fairly small gauge wire and easy to pull them apart when stripping be careful. your only other alternative is to find some place either online or onland that sells connectors/converters/adaptors. i havent heard of one that does this but you can look.

Bose only wants you to use their products. That's why they
make it difficult to connect to any other product not Bose.
