I have a mixed white sheperd that has the same thing. His nose turns extremely light brown, and the area around his eyes turn pink. Every year that happens about a week before the first snow storm. Go figure! The vet said that a lot of breeds are like that, so I wouldn't worry. Their bodies can probably tell us more about the environment that we know.

Some poorly bred bichons are beginning to develop noses that turn pink as they age. Since people who mix breeds aren't using show quality dogs to start with, I'd bet the bichon parent of your dog comes from a bloodline that has pink noses, and your dog inherited the trait from him/her.

Just look closely and be sure the dog hasn't rubbed her nose raw in any way. But if the skin is intact, it's just a genetic flaw, and nothing to worry about.

I have a 4 month old Bichonpoo her nose isn't turning color so I wouldn't blame the weather. More than likely it is an allergy. Check with your vet.

Lack of iodine in the diet can cause pigmentation loss. Worst case scenario might be a skin cancer. Either way, for peace of mind, have your vet check it out
