I have someone you can contact through e-mail if your interested - no cost. She's knowledgable about the courts, etc.

As far as your daughter, I've been there....she really needs to see a school counselor - or you need to talk to the school counselor so they can check on her and talk to her. Then, they can refer her. I recommend this so that you stay within the court limits.

Contact me through this forum if your interested. Your daughter needs help, and so do you. There is a light at the end of the tunnel...you just have to keep looking.

Stay in contact with your daughter as much as you can. If she feels like there's no reason to live - talk to her. Don't badmouth her mom - but comfort her. Tell her she's loved very much by both of you. She needs comfort and assurance that she's worth saving. Like I said, I've been there.

Your entire family needs therapy. Utilize the programs our government offers and get help for all of you. Start by requesting that your daughter see her school counselor regarding everything. The counselor can also point you in the right direction for help from other agencies. Is there documentation of her mother's attempted suicides? Hospital records, police records, etc? Surely these would be enough to have her removed from the home even if temporarily. Try being supportive of her mother despite the trouble she's put you through. She needs HELP. Best wishes.

Remeber the story about the 2 women and they both said that the baby was theirs. When the judge asked about custody one said cut it in half while the other said NO and would give up custody. The judge realized no mother harm her child and gave the baby to the real mom.
Get the authorities involved. If you have to put her in foster care until the matter can be resolved.
Call the custody hearing people. Call the child welfare services. CALL EVERYONE!!! Don't give up!!!

I hope you can afford an attorney, you really need one.
If not, I suggest you file charges with the 'Child Protective
Services' and there's one in every state..
They will step in and investigate your complaint by talking to your
daughter, and your X, they may even require witness accounts
of any form of abuse.
Make sure you have any hospital and/or doctors reports on her
suicide attempts, and it would really help immensely if you can
get 'anyone' you know that will be willing to file a simular com-
plaint with the CPS.
I hope you are a good father, because they will investigate this also, and if you are found to be what she needs, they make
things happen by removing your daughter from her mothers
home and awarding custody to you. NOW GO FOR IT !!!

call child protective services. If your daughter is REALLY trying to kill herself you or your ex should have her committed for the manditory 72 hours afterward. You or your ex can call your local hospital and have her committed to the mental health ward. Something needs to be done to protect her from herself.

Have her talk to a therpist or school counsolor right away. I don't want her to succeed one of these times. I feel really bad for you. Also try talking to her ask her why she's trying to kill herself and you might have to put her in a rehab center for teens that try to kill themselves. I really wish you luck and god bless...
