All guys will initially be attracted to you for the way you look. If you want them to continue to like you beyond that you have to be independant, smart, kind, etc. Those are the qualities that make someone fall in love with you. Love yourself first!

Just be you're real self. Then you're talents and abilities will come out, and people who share them will be very interested, and maybe surprised if they haven't seen them before.
I would never say, downplay you're looks! No. But dressing in sort of a conservative way can help send the message that you are not interested in exploiting your looks for personal gain.
You will be able to sense the people who are only after you for you're looks. Ya know, the one's that talk to you're chest! Possibly, instead of you're face.
And you will learn to tune them out, and get alot of appreciation for the ones that look in you're eyes and try to appeal to you're thoughts and feelings. That's alot more fun, isn't it?

How do you dress? Do you dress like a hooker and then wonder why guys get the wrong impression? The best way to find out if a guy likes you for you and not for what he can get, is to not give it to him. Tell them you are saving yourself for marriage. That will weed out the ones that are only trying to get in your pants.

When you have the self-confidence to not notice how you look, guys will like you for what you also value in yourself. As long as this is the primary component of your self-image - it is what you will unconsciously project and what they will be drawn to. Attraction and truly liking someone are two different things.
First, decide what it is that you want.

You just have to meet the right guy for that to happen, be persistent in your wait. Patience and stubbornness can help when having to select through the flood of ones who dig you for the wrong reasons. If you find one who loves you just for who you are then you will know and should hang on to him.

Guys? How do you look? Like some kind of sex goddess or what? Tone it down if you're so wonderful. Be a plainjane and talk with intelligence. Maybe you can pass for a genius......

You should try to find out what you both are interested or you could just say to him if you dont like me for the way i am not the way i look then this won't work out.

Its not really about getting them to like you for a certain thing its about the guy most the time. But putting out on the first date or wearing slutty like clothes doesn't help either.

carry yourself with confidence, show him that you are intelligent. in my personal opinion i think that girls play stupid (and yes...i am guilty of it too) ,but i think guys just get sick of the acting after a while. good luck with your search for the perfect man. a hint for you though. good things come when you least expect them. just be yourself and guys will notice you more than the girl that wears a ton of makeup and is wearing hardly anything at all. once again....good luck and never settle for someone.

It all depends on how you define the "right reasons".
