Buddhism because it lends itself to science more than the others.

I'm agnostic and I have been looking into Buddhism. Although there are atheistic Buddhist so I don't know if that would count. If I had to pick a traditional religion it would most likely be Christianity, that is what I was born into and what all my family believes and I would probably make life easier when asked what I believe in. Unfortunatly it just does not feel right for me.

I am an agnostic precisely because I don't want to choose any existing religion; none are totally on target for me.
If I had to choose though, I would choose universal unitarianism. They believe that everyone knows the divine in their own way, and that all paths have something to offer. I love the openness of it, and the humility to say "I could be wrong. You might be right".

I think that my beliefs match best with Unitarian Universalism, & I plan to join a UU church someday when I can.
But to choose a religion...I've wondered what it would be like for me to be Catholic because in my basic knowledge of it I feel connected to some of the philosophies & it just seems like a beautiful tradition in spite of its past that was at so many points terrible...I know I cannot accept Christianity, though, as my religion...same w/ Judaism & Islam. Maybe it sounds silly, but I wish I could have the experience of being part of one of those traditions & would probably choose Catholic Xianity if I could.

Collective Unconscious Theory. It's not really a "religion" in the same sense, but it's a philosophy regarding the nature of existence, which by and large fits the bill of what you're asking. Why? Because I believe that particular theory, when tweaked properly, has the ability to answer many questions about the nature of existence comprehensively and coherently.

I suppose, if I had to choose a theistic religion for some reason, a branch of Paganism would probably work best for me, as it doesn't have the addendum of: "Believe what I do or you're wrong/must die/will burn". There are several atheistic religions which would be more fitting with my worldview, for obvious reasons.

but that doesn't mean it is from one church or another.
yeah i let the traditional churches after studying other religions and taking part in many as well!
the Catholics ..don't tell all
the protestants don't tell all
the Buddhist ..same thing .....
Muslims.....same thing....
Jews .....same thing...
my question is why?
answer ...still don't know!
so for you ..do like me ..make one and follow it! believe in something , because there is something out there to believe in!
OK make fun if you like , but you call it the force if you like! or any given name Will do! just know that there is a difference in right and wrong ..good and evil...and we all live part of both everyday!

Gee...but I thought people keep trying to demand that atheism is a religion..what happened to that?
I can not pick one as I don't agree with any. Although family is primarily descended from Presbyterian people.

Bhuddism or Gnostic. I believe there is nothing more important than peace of mind by doing the right thing in every situation with the information you have at the time.
