My friend is metting me in NYC for diner next week and dont know were to go? I like Itallian, Mexio (tachos, fajittas, ext) and sometimes Chineese (chow fun, beaned Kurds, and stuff). Whats the best? never been there (to NYC), do they have good places to go their?

Peking duck in Chinatown
Umberto's clam house in little italy(next to chinatown)
check before you go
many restaurants in ny are cash only no credit cards
tony's (italian) 2nd ave in the east 80's
there is a lot of resturants of varied cuisine on 2nd ave. on the upper east side
in fact there are so many it sometimes becomes hard for us to choose

If price is a factor....and you don't want to spend $35 a meal or more, look at the smaller "hole in a the wall" restaurants that have a lot of customers and go there!

unless you are on a no carb diet and have cash to throw away stay away from Peter Lugar -- don't get me wrong. they are the best, but at $89 a plate and all I get is meat, water and bread. fagittaboudit. Oh and I was told stay away from franchises...I mean, you can get Mc Donalds anywhere right. Gray Papaya's is awesome for a quick bite.

this is really hot spot.... great after work for some down time and for .... Available for private parties, special events, & birthday parties.
