As a monk they are preaching senerity, and that in their heart, home is where they religion lies. But why is this monk still asking or looking for his home?

Home is the kingdom of heaven from whence we came. The monk is experiencing separation anxiety ... separation from God. When he returns to God in the kingdom of heaven, he will be back in his true home.

"Home" is not a dwelling, but it is a place where one feels comfortable with themselves as well as others.
