Okay, take a deep breath. Been there. The best bet at this point is to get an appt. with a general practioner (your family doctor) if there are still Not appointments soon enough go to an urgent care facility. They see people usually 6-7 days a week, long hours and no appt. needed (although there may be a long wait) They can at least prescribe you some meds that will help you handle the panic like feeling. Then book the appt. for a therapist, psychiatrist, etc. Just get help now! Urgent care places can prescribe a medication that you can take to "chill" and still not go totally out of it (like Xanax or something similar), but these can be addictive, so be sure to have that "real" appointment with a mental health professional. I've been there....this will help. Also, check out books on panic disorders, meditate, and remember...you won't lose control. Take a deep breath...breathe deeply. It will be okay. In the meantime, see a regular MD...maybe he/she can even get you in to a therapist/psychiatrist sooner because they know someone. Express how upset you are.....they do want to help you...maybe they can get you in sooner because of the cotacts they personally have. Good luck. Blessings.

If you have insurance, there's usually an 800 number you can call on the back of the card. Tell them what's going on and they can usually help you out.
Or, you can make an appointment with your regular doctor and he can usually give you something for "in the mean time" and possibly get you squeezed in someplace to see a specialist.
If your regular doctor is telling you that it will be a month, then ask that the doctor give you a call PERSONALLY and describe your symptoms to him or her and tell them that the matter is urgent...they'll usually find time at that point to see you. If not, it's time to find a new doctor.
Additionally, if you are drinking diet soda's, especially ones with aspartame (Nutrasweet) in them, then stop. They are finding that the aspartame can affect people with neurological disorders such as depression, panic, bipolar disorder, etc. I know this might seem off the wall, but my wife was going through the same thing and when she stopped drinking diet sodas, her anxiety dropped.

This is not a situation you can afford to not take care of, so set an appt. and then start calling around for another appt. that is earlier. When you get one, call and cancel the first one. However, take a calender and put it on the counter of you kitchen near as possible to your phone. Every time you look at that calender, look at the earliest date you have going for you. Don't allow yourself to forget the calender and the appointment in the calender. It must be an everyday thing at home or away. Have different calender to carry to work. Touch it and hold it. Do not allow yourself to forget it. When the day comes. Go in there and when the doctor say politely, how are you today, be ready to tell him every symptom that is troubling you. Please write down you symptoms before hand, and read them to him or her so they can deal with the problem.
You are asking a good question.

make an appointment with anyone you want to see. I have the same two disorders and I had to wait 3 months for my first appointment. It's definitely worth it if you do go. Until you go, just try not to think about the last time you had a panic attack. Do anything but sit around and think really...the more you think the more it gets you into trouble. So until you can see a doctor, do everything other than what you do normally. Do exercising, hang out with your friends even if you don't want to, and eat healthier at least until you can get to someone.

Either hide under the bed with the dust bunnies or go out in the street and threaten people with a roll-up newspaper. Actually option 2 may get you enough attention that your will get to see a doctor. But, seriously, Ginza has the right idea. Ask the doctor to put you on the list for cancellations.

Relax you wont like the treatment which uses a little talk and a lot of pills to remove the memories. Just don't go near the places and people in the panic syndrome.

no ERs are not for treatment BUT if youre having a panic attack they will be able to help. Tell the offices you call that you don;t feel ike you can go on and that you need help NOW, be assertive, if they can't help you ask for a referral to another Dr that can.
Ask to be put on a cancellation list for anyone who cancels and you could take their appt.
do you have a Primary care Physician that you already have a repore with, start with them and they can maybe at least give you something for your attacks and depression to help untill you can get into see a Phychiatrist.
That's the route i went, I had to wait 3 weeks myself to see the Phsychaitrist, but my regular Dr was able to help me get started

Call them and book the next appointment they have available. In the meantime, try to relax. Maybe take something herbal (St. John's Wort is supposed to be good for depression), although don't take it if you're taking any prescription medicine for depression.

Not the emergency room- but there are many Urgent Care facilities. They will see you- give Meds and follow up with you until you can see a primary.
