Women are attracted to different men, a uniform or not shouldn't matter, but there are some that really like a man in uniform. Your girlfriend is probably just too immature to deal with having a boyfriend that won't be around all the time. Some females require a lot of attention and she could be one of them. My husband is retired Army, my youngest son is an army helicopter pilot and my son in law is 101st air borne so I'm partial to military men. Thank you so much for your service. Be Safe and Good Luck

Speaking for myself...yes and no. In uniform, a man seems to just look better. For some reason a nice, sharp hair cut looks better with a uniform. The tailored fit shows off his body. And there's the sense that he'll protect you no matter what. The problem though is that I realize the danger that comes along with that uniform and I'd be scared to death that he wouldn't come home. That's why I choose not to get involved. I think your girl is being selfish. If she knew she couldn't handle it, she never should have gotten with you. If you joined after you got with her...that's different. Not that she was right for leaving you, I still think it was wrong if that was the ONLY reason, but it is a lot to handle.

I believe women like men dress as cowboys better than military men now days. Women do not want to get so caught up with military men these days because the war and all. Perhaps she had some fear reason for wanting to break up with you and being absent for a time and she alone and worried, of course do not mean that she do not love you.

she might have broken up with you, because she may be afraid that something bad might happen to you- and she just wouldn't be able to deal with it. That is why my sister broke it off with her boyfriend when he joine the army. How long will you be away? 4 years? How long have you been dating? if it has only been a short time, she may not be willing to wait that long for your return, perhaps she isnt sure where you relationship stands- you should talk to her about it.

every woman likes different types of men.
the reason that she probably broke up with you was because she doensn't think that she can be away from you for that long...its also possible that she was considering breaking up with you before you told her that you were getting deployed.

oh boy lots of reasons:
1.She would hardly ever see you.
2.If my b/f told me that he was to be deployed i'd have a heart attack because i'd be up every night worried hes going to die the next day.
3.Doesn't love you enough to wait.
