Anybody know how to adjust the C4 modulator valve? I'm trying to make my transmission shift earlier into third gear how do i do this? Which way do i turn the screw to do this, do I tighten it it or loosen it? anybody know what i can do? thanks everyone

you turn the valve counter 1degre then work from there the valve is in the trany

Turn it in to delay and firm up shift, screw out to shift sooner and soften. may need to adjust the kickdown linkage at the carb.The adjustment screw on the mod. valve is accessed by removing the vacume line and inseting a small reg. screwdriver. The adjustments on the ouside of the trans are for the bands.

Where the vac. line hooks there is a screw inside the hole, flat head or a allen, you need to turn it counter clockwise for earlier shift.
