Not "lost" tribes of Israel. We believe that the original family of Lehi left Jerusalem around 600 B.C. and were related to Joseph - through Manasseh (his son) in general. There were also at least 2 other groups of people documented in the Book of Mormon who came to the Americas. Someone already noted that there is Asian/Mongol DNA evidence, but the Book of Mormon's account does not mean there wasn't the possibility that other people came to the Americas as well. In addition, I don't think they have tracked the DNA of all tribes, only some. For example, I would like to know what the DNA is for the Lacandon Indians, who traditionally resisted marrying outside their tribe and who had significantly lighter skin than other tribes around them, along with members who had lighter hair as well. By the way, we believe that all people who repent and come to Christ are beautiful regardless of skin color.

Like maximum questions approximately faith there is a few fact and a few deceptive statements. specific, Mormons have self assurance that there replaced into some migration of historical Israelities to the Americas. This migration replaced into constrained to an somewhat small variety of human beings in each occasion. what's extra substantial is what's left unsaid, the e book of Mormon does no longer state, that they have got been the only human beings emigrate to the Americas nor does it deny that human beings migrated around the Bering Strait. It does no longer say that there have been no longer already inhabitants residing there. As for DNA data etc, the undeniable fact that a team around 20 migrated, intermixed with community human beings, you may easily think of why DNA sorting out right this moment does no longer %. up something conclusive. technological understanding isn't the enemy of Mormons, neither is technological understanding very final or fixed. technological understanding evolves, variations over the years as new technologies, theories emerge. what's extra substantial to faith is faith.

Yes. The Native Americans (called Lamanites) were "sinners which turned against God" so God turned their skin dark (as well as their descendants). They will allegedly turn white when they accept God. All of this is found in 2 Nephi in the Book of Mormon. Being part Native American, I find the concept offensive.

There is no scientific evidence to support this. Both genetically and linguistically, the Native Americans are related to the Mongoloids of Asia.

there was a scattering of the tribes of Israel. and yes Native Americans, Hispanics, Chinese, Japanese and pretty much everyone are part of the tribes. Native Americans and most tanned people come from the lineage of Manasseh which is Joseph's son. the Book of Mormon tells the history of Joseph's line.

Ezekiel 37:16-17

Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, for Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, for Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:

And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.
