Are you speaking of before or after salvation?

After salvation, if we make the mistake of getting out of the spirit, then God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins if we would repent and ask Him.
The bible says to walk in the spirit and you shall not fullfill the lust of the flesh.
We sin when we get out of the spirit. We don't sin when we are in the spirit but only when we take our eyes and heart off Him. The flesh lust to sin but the Spirit longs to bring God glory.
This is a learning process. But remember God is always there with open arms to forgive if you make the mistake.

You will never quit sinning as your sin nature is with you until you die. God has solved the sin problem through his uniquely born Son Jesus Christ. Use 1 John1:9. and pray. A lot people only believe that sin is an overt act. You are what you think. Some of the mental attitude sins are: worry, upset, fear, implacability, hatred, anger, jealousy, slander, gossip, maligning. The way of happiness for the Christian is to be filled with the Holy Spirit and trust in the Lord-no matter what. Romans 8:28 "all things work together for good for those who love him" Peace out.

The only reason why all people die is because of sin. If Adam had not disobeyed God He would still be alive. We all have a sin nature because of Adam. God has made away to escape this sinful body when we die. The Lord Jesus die on the cross for our sins if we would believe in what He did for us. Romans 5: 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

One day we will overstep the bounds of Gods forbearance and He will punish us. He did it to the ancient Israelites on more than one occasion, and He will do it to us. Besides, sin is the transgression of the Law of God (the 10 commandments), most people do not stop and consider that those Laws are a statement of the character of God, and those that love His Son and keep/do the commandments, and have a faith that works, and also love their fellow mankind, are HOLY people, and acceptable unto Him. So, may say that no one is perfect, but that is exactly what God calls us to be. What do you think a Saint is? It is a HOLY person, how do I know? Try Rev 12:14; 14:17. These tell us who the Saints are. We can be one of them.

"For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has spurned the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace? For we know him who said, "Vengeance is mine; I will repay." And again, "The Lord will judge his people." It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews 10:26-31

Psa 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

You will keep sining till you die it's our nature, but if you wilfully commit a sin & will not surrender it to God your in trouble
Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

You'll just keep getting forgiven if you ask to be forgiven, that's how compassionate God is. But if you keep sinning you will not have God's grace in your life, you will be a soldier in the army of satan, instead of God. But God as loving as He is will still have His arms outstretched when you are ready to repent and live according to God's word. He will still make you whole again as if nothing ever happened, but your heart would have to be pure and you would have to seek Him w/ all your heart to continuously receive His blessings according to His will. It takes practice and dedication. Sinning is so easy, there can't anything good in the end. but living for the Lord is patience, endurance, strength with joy.

We will receive the consequences of our choice. Both theists and atheists are affected by this universal law of cause and effect.
When we change the cause, the effect will change.
The problem is that the law of cause and effect is more complicated than we think or imangine. That is why men from various generations have made confusing interpretations about it. This is not a matter of blind faith, it is a matter of law to be treated with true knowledge. Therefore, we really need education under a Divine Educator.

A believer will sin but not 'live in' sin

1 John 3:9 “No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God”

If you are an unbeliever, nothing, until the Great White Throne judgment (i.e., unbelievers in the hands of an angry God). As for the believer, he must remit (judge himself) his sin daily, lest God would judge him, which wouldn't be pretty.
