I believe the Creator was lonely. I believe he created man to keep Him company. I believe He made things perfect, and He let humans be in charge of the world - and gave them a choice to preserve it or ruin it. Man made the wrong choice, and for generations, there was sin, death, sadness, destruction, war, disease and many horrible things. God sent Christ in human form to show that man *can* make good choices and bring glory to God - that we didn't have to deviate from the plan, even if it means we would die. Christ, a belief in Christ and living the way He lived saves us from the ugliness of this world. It comes full circle because when we die, we go back to Heaven to sit near God and do just as He intended - - we keep him company.

God is one. Jesus is not a separate God from God. God consists of The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. We use anthropomorphic language to call them three separate "persons" but they are not people in the sense of Tom, Dick and Harry.
Space is one certain thing but it has length, width and height as different aspects of it. This is dangerous territory because Christian theologians say that we "apprehend" the Trinity but we don't "comprehend" it. God has not revealed everything about himself to us, but he has told us that he is three in one.
What if the universe existed but there were no intelligent beings to view it and comprehend it? Would it really be there? What is the difference between a universe filled with inanimate objects and nothingness?
If we were just objects created by chance, then there is a chance that we never would have been created. Then you have a universe of galaxies but nothing to perceive it. Is that any different from nothingness? It seems to me that we were put here to observe this magnificent creation.
And where did the universe come from? All physicists agree that it was a "Big Bang" that started the universe 20 billion years ago. Prior to that there was an eternity of nothingness with a stable point of "singularity." Many physicists point out that something had to "generate" the Big Bang. Nothingness can't create something. If nothingness could create something, then an ice cream sundae should suddenly appear on my table from time to time.
We were put here to appreciate this great creation, and to ponder the fact that the Creator is awesome.

I believe in both philosophical and spiritually. I believe in God (which I prefer to address as the Higher Power) because we humans have a innate need for answers. Such as you asked.
Scientifically every entity derives from something else. Every cause has an affect. Thus there has to be a beginning and the beginning would have a name we call God.
I refer to God as the Higher Power because Man kind refers/assumes it to be a HE. When actually it can't be for God is a spirit and a spirit has no genitals for pro/recreation for God creates. Thus it has no gender.
I believe in Christ because historical he was a physical human being who lived on this earth as we do.
As for the rest of your question "what/why we are hear I never thought about it. I just live/exist and strife to be as good and productive as I can.

I Believe in a higher power. I feel as if there is a level of knowledge that one must achieve to become a divine entity (spirit). Part of that knowledge would be the understanding that everything believed in may not be true. That being said I like to think of "heaven" as just another planet lost in the stars where our spirits travel to after life is over. "hell" another planet(perhaps our own). There is too much power to the human mind that has gone undiscovered to have just evolved from single cell organisms. For instance the monks of the shaolin temple have discovered how to focus all of there minds energy to a single point of there exterior body (the chi) giving them the ability to perform unbelievable tasks.

At the moment, we are spiritual beings being human....we are here to grow and evolve spiritually...to make decisions and learn lessons of love. If we treat one another as we would want to be treated, we are on the right path.

i believe god put us here so that he could have companionship. there is no real answer in my mind for the reasons why we are here and why god did not choose to make a perfect world but i believe that we should live our lives to the fullest and make it a place where we can lean about god and get to know him.
