How deep do you have to cut to hit the main arteries (sp?) in your wrists? Assuming you hit them, approx how long would it take you to bleed to death? What are you chances of surviving if pressure is immediently put on and your arms were elevated until getting to the hospital 45 mintutes later? Any doctors know? Serious answers please this is very important.

1/2 cm is the depth...
it may take a hour or more, but remember that arteries have an elastic middle layer, so it you cut one, it may spring back up into your arm and close itself off as a defense mechanism just to STOP you from bleeding to death...
you could survive for 45 minutes to get to the hospital...
however, after you get to the hospital, any prudent ed doctor would have the psychiatrist see that person to make sure that they were not attempting to take their own life.
mother nature helps us all out, but it gets kinda difficult if the artery is rather large, like your femoral, or carotid if they accidentally get severed
