Cubic centimeter, though in U.S. hospitals, the trend is to avoid using "cc" at all, for purposes of error reduction. When handwritten, it can look a lot like "00" and ml (milliliter) is for all intents and purposes the same thing. (Please, chemistry majors, doctors know there's a difference, but in practical use in the hospital, it's unimportant.)

A cc in the medical field is using metric measurements for a liquid.
To get a better idea how much this is this may help you convert:
1cc = 1g = 1ml (approx) 1 teaspoon = 5 ml (approx)

so by this chart 1 teaspoon is approx 5 cc's
