First dear:
IS MUSLIMS!
SECOND IS Qur’an
THIRD READ BEFORE YOU ASK....
It is not permissible for a Muslim to swear by anything except Allah...If the system in a country that is not ruled by Islamic law requires the person swearing an oath to put his hand on the Tawrat or Injel, or both, then the Muslim should ask the court to let him swear by Allah, ... There is nothing wrong with him putting his hand on the Holy Qur’an, which is the Word of Allah and is therefore one of His attributes. If they do not allow him this request, and he is forced to swear by the Tawraat or Injeel, then this is considered to be compulsion ...
I as a Muslim would not swear on the Qur'an because that is not it's purpose.
Allah knows best!
But YOU my dear definetly need some education. Fist learn to spell our name and the name of our book, and then ask your questions.
Good night!

In some countries if one is testifying in court he/she must swear on the Qu'ran.
But I am a little confused about your question. Are you asking if muslims in general use the term of swearing on the Qu'ran as christian people coin the phrase "I swear on the bible, it really happened!"?? I am muslim and I haven't heard anyone say that.
And how could anyone possibly know the exact number of muslim people who would do that unless they conducted a scientific survey?
If I were asked to swear on the Qu'ran for an important purpose then I certainly would testify it in full truth. But I am only one person.

Muslims cannot swear on anything - they can only affirm their faith and belief and cannot mention the name of God or Jesus. For example, when I had to go to court, I had to instruct the bailiff to please ask me to AFFIRM that I would tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. This is called separation of religion (i.e. church) and state and totally legal for ANYONE to ask, not just Mulsims..

A lot. I have no problem with that myself. The political guy on tv was making too big of a deal out of it.
