I have quite fine hair also and keep it reasonably short so it looks thicker. A good style cut will help a alot! Long layers are good and highlights will add some depth to the look of your hair. I'm not a big fan of blow drying all the time but do if I'm going out as it puts more body in your hair and makes it look fuller. When you're blow drying, tip your hair upside down and spray a little hairspray at the roots and that will give you some lift. As someone else said, the longer your hair gets the heavier it is so it will unfortunately look thinner. It'd probably be best not to let it get really long, a bit below the shoulders is a pretty good compromise :)

No, relatively no longer. How can it?? there is not any connection in any know. Thickness or thinness refers back to the form of hairs on the scalp. you have a constrained variety. you will in no way get extra. The hairs stay for purely 4 to 7 years... then stops growing to be, falls out, and in some weeks, oftentimes the basis starts off growing to be yet another hair. And the cycle keeps. on occasion that root basically in no way comes returned to stay returned, particularly as we become older. What you may properly be pertaining to is the "sense" of the hair because it gets longer. of direction, quite some the hair does not attain the ends. you have hairs that are all distinctive lengths... reflecting their age. purely the oldest have been around long sufficient to get to be the longest. and that they are those that are going to oftentimes fall out first. It purely stands to reason that on the ends, you may have thinner hair...all and sundry does. on the scalp, you nevertheless have the comparable variety. count variety them each month and spot if there is any distinction! No, your hair can't get thinner because it gets longer. thoroughly unconnected.

Your not taking care of your hair well enough if its getting thinner at the bottom. My advice would be to cut of the thin end because you most likly have split ends. You need to deep condition once a week and try to keep your hair healthy. If it is to flat try blowdrying with your head upside down with a big roud brush (the bigger the round brush the more volume)... but most importantly cut your hair

your hair gets flatter when it gets longer because it's heavy.

it gets thinner because the ends are split. thats why it kind of tapers off at the bottom. the hair splits all the way up the shaft. you probably need a good cut... probably a few inches then after that you need to get a trim about ever 2-3 months to keep it healthy and it will grow "thicker".

Your age, diet and the chemicals that you put on your hair play a big roll. You may be brushing it too hard and breaking the hair strands. You can buy mouse to fluff up your hair as well as having some layers put in so that the weight of your hair doesn't make your hair just lay there lifeless.

The weight of the hair pulls it down so it can't have much volume.

My hair is really thin and really flat and over 3 feet long.

P.S. Also, a comment on a previous answer, Long hair is Not lifeless. Mine is, as I said, long and it flows like a mane.

It's not really thinner, but the weight of the length is flattening the top by pulling it down.
