We have a family of 3, and we usually spend about $250/month on food.
We make everything from scratch, mainly because TV dinners and frozen pizzas are going to cost more and give you less nutrients in the long run.

I spend about $90 each week. I cook everything from scratch and that includes making lunches for me and my wife to take to work. We eat well because we both love to cook and eat. If we eat out somewhere, that's usually another $40 - $50. And, we have an occasional party in our home and that usually runs about $250.
By the way, our household size is two people.

Well I am a cook, so I can eat at work, and I don't like cooking for myself too much, only for others. So on the working days I usually open a can of soup for dinner, I also tend to make entrees and freeze them so they can be easily defrosted and heated, such as macaroni and cheese, chicken casseroles, or even my own soups. If I have someone join me I will cook from scratch. I usually go out for dinner on my weekends. All in all I usually spend about 50 to 60 on food a week on food because I always must have fresh fruit, vegetables, and seafoods in my house.

We are a family of 6, most times I cook from scratch. I have 3 teenagers, two which are football players. I cook 6 days a week and eat out on Sundays after church. I spend most times about $100.00 a week on groceries. That's not including the holiday shopping list extras.

If you you're watching what you eat. It's best that you make it from scratch only thing is that's if you have time and energy to make it after a long day. come to think of it 30-40 a week is cheap. If you'll calculate it it's roughly $20 to eat out (decent meal) so compare to $30-$40 that's way economical.

For my family of 4, I spend roughly $100 a week. I try to make most of our meals from scratch, but every now and again I will get something quick. That amount also includes toiletries and cleaning supplies.

We spend about $75 a week between me and my hubby. We buy lots of fresh veggies and meats. He is diabetic so the sugar free stuff makes the bill a little higher. I cook from scratch at nights, but for lunch we take sandwiches or frozen meals.

I cook our meals from scratch. There are two of us and a very spoiled dog who eats chicken and beef (not dog food).
We usually spend $100 to $125 a week on groceries.
We might eat out at restaurants once a week or less.
The problem is my husband is spoiled because I am an excellent chef

We cook from scratch, but since we have food allergies our bills tend to be higher. For the four humans and four animal companions we spend about $100 a week. Mind you we go to the club stores & discount stores for the staples and our garden tends to supply the rest for a good portion of the year. Otherwise I'd say it would be closer to $200 a week.
