I would go with a warm honey brown. It will compliment your feautures. Lightening your hair can be damaging, if you don't know how to handle it. Make sure when you have washed you hair from color to use the coniditoner that was included with it. When you're done, before you dry your hair, add an anti-frizz serum. Then condition each time you use shampoo after that. Once every two weeks, use the conditioner that was included.

I have similar coloring to you, and I have found the best way to lighten my hair is by highlighting. When you use all over color, it is hard to keep up with, and it affects all of your hair. If you get it highlighted, only a small portion of your hair is colored, meaning the rest of it stays healthy. When you get it highlighted, you can have them use 2 or 3 different colors for a better look. You can have them make it as natural, or dramatic as you want. I would recommend you go to a higher end salon, it really makes a huge difference. Make sure someone that has been specifically trained and 'specialized' in hair color does it, otherwise you may be looking for hats for the holidays!!
Good luck, hope it turns out great.

I did the numerous similar element as you, used a similar ice blonde and the entire element. For some purpose it made my hair a darker yellowish colour in factors, and the white blonde in small sections. It fairly damaged my hair to.Idk if this replaced into once basically my hair being stupid or if it replaced into the dye even with the actuality that.

dark brown is not easy to come back from. if you want to go darker it sounds like you need to go with a color with red tones in it. that sounds like it will really compliment your skin tone. if you wanted to go lighter you could do that too. your hair will be OK i promise. i would do a light brown with lots of red in it with some pale blonde highlights. especially if you have freckles

As a hairdresser I would try to go two shades lighter than the darkest part of your hair that way everything blends in well.
