Jesus told a man whom he had healed: “Do not sin anymore, in order that something worse does not happen to you.” Did he mean that we get sick because we have sinned?
No, each sickness is not necessarily a result of a specific sin.
John chapter five tells of Jesus’ healing a man who had been sick many years. Later Jesus saw the man in the temple area and said: “See, you have become sound in health. Do not sin anymore, in order that something worse does not happen to you.”
All of us have inherited sin and imperfection from Adam. (Romans 5:12) One evidence is that we “naturally” get sick at times. Evidently the man whom Jesus healed was sick as a result of inherited imperfection. By God’s mercy the man was healed and shown the way of salvation through Christ. He should then follow the Savior. If, instead, the man turned to deliberate sin, something worse than sickness would befall him; he would be guilty of sinning against the spirit, meriting everlasting destruction. Matthew 12:31, 32.

Worse than being paralized would be what would happen to the man if he sinned. It would be worse for him to live a life of sin and have to deal with the eternal consequences than to merely have a disability in life.

When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation. Matthew 12:43-45
...Maybe when we continue sinning we leave the door open?

In my Bible, ("Life Application Study Bible") the notes on this verse say: This man had been lame, or paralyzed, and suddenly he could walk. This was a great miracle. But he needed an even greater miracle - to have his sins forgiven. The man was delighted to be physically healed, but he had to turn from his sins and seek God's forgiveness to be spiritually healed. God's forgiveness is the greatest gift you will ever receive. Don't neglect his gracious offer. v15. God is prepared to work in our lives, but we can shut out his miracles by limiting our views about how he works.

We don't know what that guy did to get himself paralyzed,Jesus did.He knows mens hearts.
Let's just say for example, the guy was a drunk,he fell down some stairs and was crippled.Jesus is saying "Stay off the sauce or next time you might break your dog gone neck".
See what I mean?Usually when a guy goes off the wagon ,it's twice as bad as before.

called it word of knowledge . cause when the high priest took Jesus they had false witness and the blind man he warned in john 5;14. and was in the court priest question him about the healing he would not be a false witness. but spoke truth held strong . Makes me think that one left here when he come back who will take the mark and who will die for not taking the mark cause not all who says they believe will be with Christ

"Don't sin no more..." I didn't know people 2000 years ago used double negatives...that's rather funny actually...do you realize that actually means you SHOULD sin? (a double negative becomes a positive).
