Why should it matter? It's your life so do what you want.

My advice is that you ask your brother first. You must protect the relationship your brother and you share. He comes first. He might approve or disapprove, it depends on whether or not the relationship his friend and him have is valuable. If the friend isn't a good candidate for you to date - believe me he'll tell you. If it bothers him he'll let you know. If you hide the relationship from your brother you become untrustworthy and he will resent you and yes he will be upset. Good Luck.

I don't know your brother... I would ask to see how he feels about it. He might think that his friend will focus more on you if you decide to "hook up" and he may not want this to happen. You never know unless you ask. Good luck!

Ya,,, he knows just how dirty the giy is or isnt.
Sometimes the bestfriend, is worse, he will hit you, beat you, and then run red lights with you in the car, just cuase he knows your brother is not going to do anything about it. Who is the more stroger person? Your brother or your new friend

Sounds fine to me. If he is your brother's best friend, then he must be OK. Talk to your brother about it.

it would be better for him to find out early on, rather than if it gets serious and he finds out he was left in the dark for a long time

If they are great friends, he might be jealous to think you are taking his friend away from him. I think he would easily get over it, though.

I don't know your brother that well. Tell him to call me and I'll ask.
