Try a Pavlovian response mechanism, put a large thick rubber band around your wrist. If you eat something that is considered "junk food" pull the rubber band back and snap it against your wrist. You will begin to connect "junk food" with pain. Or, just think, is the 10 seconds of pleasure you get in tasting it going to be worth it in the long run. Get all the junk food you have out of your house, make yourself not eat it, it is all about will power. Eat 5 or 6 small meals, fruits, veg.

Junk food binges are especially a problem for women at "that time of month". The best way to avoid is to not have them around. Dump all junk food out of your refrig, and cabinets. Then plan to have a snack inbetween meals (to help take away the cravings). The snack should have 1-2 ounces of meat or protein (salmon is very good for more than one reason), some carbohydrate - like maybe a cracker or a piece of your favorite fruit, and good fat (almonds are good for this).

If you start to crave, have some more nuts with your next snack - or have your next snack early. Cravings indicate your brain thinks it is low on blood sugar and is asking for more sugar to "fuel" itself. If you are on a balanced diet with balanced snacks, you should notice a decrease in the cravings in about 2 weeks.

yes... choose not to give in.

Chew gum
Suck on mints
Drink water with a green tea bag in it.
Put a picture of the cute outfit that you want to buy after you lose the weight in your bag to look at when you get the urge
Have carrot sticks with you at all times to munch on.
Brush your teeth after every meal.. it's a kind of "finish off"

But best of all.... don't "diet" just make small changes at a time. It's easier to do it over time rather than all at once, then go back to your old ways.

Make it stick. Eat healthier for life. That way when you do give in every once and a while, it's ok.

Just try not to have any in your home. As the saying goes "out of sight, out of mind". This worked for me and if it wasn't in the house it really didn't bother me. If you do get a craving for something sweet, eat some fruit. It seems to help with me, I always keep some kind of fruit around the house like apples or bananas and even oranges. If I want something sweet, I just grab an apple and it seems to help my cravings.

if you are craving something crunchy, like chips or crackers, try vegetable sticks with low-fat peanut butter or cheese. Try eating fruits, or fruit salad for a dessert. Just remember, no junk food is as sweet as the feeling of losing weight.

Let yourself have one treat per day or if your really tough one special treat once a week. Or you could go for small goals and reward yourself with material goods such as shoes each time you reach a goal. Make sure to make them somewhat hard, but not to difficult.

Yes. Just use your will if you have one. Either you are on a diet or you are pretending... Miracles do not exist when it comes to the body.
