Strangely, the best way to spark interest in a member of the opposite sex is to act as if they don't exist. Walk by them looking straight ahead as if you don't even know they are there. It helps if you are smiling as if thinking about something funny. This is an art you have to practice to insure you don't appear stuck up or contemptuous which will turn the person off big-time.

i have the same problem, sweet. i didnt start liking this guy, that liked me in the 6th grade, until this year. now it seemz hes not interested anymore. :`( 2 tell the truth, i need help 2. :( ive just put makeup on and frilled myself up more. doeznt seem 2 work anymore. :( hope u get good advice. l8ter!
