Pen Tool in Photoshop?

Just to clarify in advance, I'm using CS2 9.0.

I must've accidentally pressed something since the vector mask - when using the pen tool - always fills in with the color I have selected. How can I get it to just make a line again?

You should a tool properties bar just under the "File Edit Image" bar.
You should see boxes near your tool image. Should be three symbols. A square, a Square with your pen tool in it, and a square that is filled in. IF the last one is "activated' that means you are using that one. Click on the first "square".
