Still amazes me how many Americans are blind to the fact that illegals are getting welfare,maybe you should read up on the subject before you blow hot air.

It will be business as usual, the government is constantly shafting the American people. I am not even going to think about SS because I know I will never get what I paid in. Infact alot of elderly people get screwed out of the money they paid in, they actually force you to choose to get your retirement check, or SS. They will not let you have both. This is a crime in and of itself. They should get their retirement and SS, because it is rightfully theres!

Illegal aliens work with fake social security numbers and pay into social security but they will never be able to collect. If you read you will understand that they contribute to a program that they will never benefit from. If you do not like people coming to this country illegally demand your government close any business that employs illegal aliens and they will stop coming to this country. If there are no jobs they will stop coming but your president wants them to come because they are a cheep source of labor. This increases the profits of the companies that higher them and these companies can give the republicans money to win elections to keep the boarders open. If you support Bush you support this economic reality.

Do you realize Social Security is still working because of the millions of dollars from illegal immigrants that they can never claim. Yes, every fake number they use has Social Security deducted from it just like you check and mine.

Our social security is not going to run out because we gave it to illegals for welfare. It is going to run out because social security is paid by the current workers, and when most of our population, i.e. baby boomers, all retire in the next few years, there isn't going to be enough of us to pay all of thier social security benefits. So stop worrying about social security, get your own 401K, a roth IRA, and start saving.

Whoa! I won't let you stay with your ignorance. Welfare is only taken by the children of illegal immigrants, who later on in life WILL pay taxes because they are AMERICAN CITIZENS. No illegal gets welfare for him/herself. And actually illegals are what keeps the Social Security alive since they pay taxes but don't get income taxes back! So the right answer would be, What are we going to do when all the rednecks, ghettos, chicano trash, and chinese gangsters have drained the welfare system?

Well, we COULD work towards privatizing it so it doesn't happen in the first place. Think about it, in the end, it's YOUR retirement fund and it WOULD be nice to have a say in what happens to it. Little personal responsibility, eh?

Since when does social security pay for welfare benefits? lol It doesn't! Welfare benefits come from your state (and federal) tax dollars, not social security!!

it's true. a friend of my maid works as an illegal in the US, her daughter got sick and the hospital charged nothing for her 3-day treatment.
now is it fair... to US taxpayers, I guess it seems totally unfair. however, I must say that these workers are paid less and they are still contributing to America's economy.
i still think people should not enter any country illegaly, no matter how desperate situation is at home.

The real issue isn't the welfare that illegals use up. It's all the crime they commit. 2% of the population are illegals. 35% of the prison population are illegals. In order for this situation to exist, the vast majority of illegals would have to be violent criminals. Not only does that have serious consequences in terms of all the people they victimize, but it soaks up huge amounts of resources dealing with the problem (prison, police, etc. are all MEGA expensive). Sure, illegals scarf up welfare. Just to add insult to injury, it is illegal for then to do so and in order for them to do this they have to defraud the system. But, that isn't even close to being the important issue here.
