I suspect it's time for you to contact a Bhuddist monk. AFAIK, they're quite well versed in your quest of balance. The issue of solitude might throw you off though...

I don't know about extremism, but a faith without emotions? useless. We are basically emotional people. Not only emotional, but we cannot deny that part of us.
Mentally ill people are often people who have not been able to be in proper contact with their emotions, and as a result go to extremes in emotional reactions.
Emotions, without extremes, must still be felt and expressed with force.
I didn't propose to my wife saying calmly: "I think we can make a go of it together... we are compatible, have the same ideas about bringing up children, etc..."
When I knelt at my father's grave I didn't say: "It was time for him to pass on, he lived to a good age..."
When a tragedy happened to one of my children I didn't - and don't now - say "Alright, that happened, let's look at the consequences, and see what we can do to either make it better or reduce the negative fallout from this".
In all of those situations I felt - and expressed - strong emotions. I would have been sick if I didn't.
But with God, our Creator, we should not have emotions? I believe Jesus Christ died for my sins. This is a non-emotional teaching? It's emotional enough to blow one's mind!
Life is emotional.

I think emotion is the basic criteria which leads to crime or good things, and inturn emotion is the main cause for one to be come an extremist. you are right. ut is it a human nature? is a child born emotional ? does a child of emotional parents emotional? One has to learn from his/her emotions or others emotions? mking a person emotionless spiritually is the ultimate goal of Religion. Thats what i think.

Spiritual Enlightenment carries no emotional extremist with it. That would be the natural state without Enlightenment! ; )
