Sometimes I get the feeling when a person comments that you are spiritual - it is pure sarcasm ! It is almost bad being spiritual.

A spiritual person is someone who has made a conscious effort to acquire moral qualities and puts them to the service of mankind.
In that sense we are all spiritual people. The degree and intensity varies from one person to another.
Some are like mother Teresa of Calcutta or Albert Schweitzer, others like you and me.

Some think being spiritual is nothing more than getting in the mood. The
Scriptures say that God is a spirit, and we have to worship Him "in Spirit" and
in truth.
Being spiritual is having a love for things. Even embracing trials because we
know it will make us stronger as spiritual beings. It can only be
realized through personal spiritual experience.
When we look at others, we tend to see one thing at a time. The eyes, nose,
mouth. Try taking a persons whole face in at once. And see the "glow".
The spirit and the Life in them!

"Spiritual" refers to being religious: concerned with sacred matters or religion or the church; "religious texts"; "a member of a religious order"; "lords temporal and spiritual"; "spiritual leaders"; "spiritual songs"
I agree that many references to spirituality in this place are wrought with sarcasm and secular ridicule by those who are without soul. Don't let that trouble you. Spirituality is not embraced by everyone; but being spiritual is quite distant from "bad."
Being spiritual means you believe in something beyond that which people can perceive and have faith in something that you cannot necessarily see or measure directly. It's not necessarily a Christian thing -- it's the possession of a belief system and a set of standards by which you conduct your life.

not judging yourself by the flesh, because sin is in the flesh, the flesh is not who you are, which who you are is spirit. So judging yourself based on what God has made you, which is his children, that is being spiritual, knowing that you are a child of God no matter what your flesh does.

it means not belonging to any specific religion, but not being an atheist either. Kinda this new age thing for people who feel confined by organized religion, but still want to shift the responsibility to some higher being.

I have no clue what it means, because it can mean a million different things to a million different people.
And I've heard it more than a million times.
"I'm not religious....I'm spititual" means I wanna sleep in on Sunday mornings.
