Well, besides it being a command from God...

"For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5

Remaining sexually pure has many earthly benefits. You avoid sexually transmitted diseases, a reputation of being loose and easy, unplanned pregnancy, the heart break that happens when two people who have become sexually intimate break up. It isn't for no reason that the Bible says...

"Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. Genesis 2:24

When you have a sexual union with another person a bond occurs that really causes pain and distress when it is broken. Of course if a person has already given them self over to sexual immorality then they have probably developed emotional callouses and just shrug it off when they move from one partner to another one. Then if they ever get married what could have been a beautiful and personal shared experience between two people who have saved themselves for their futures spouses becomes just another day at the office and except for the satisfying of physical lust it loses all the fullness of joy that could have been there otherwise.

I really believe in sexual purity. Staying pure builds self-discipline, even if you aren't religious. If you save your virginity and purity for marriage, your mariage will be so much stronger. Giving your virginity to your husband/wife is the best gift you can give them.

As a Catholic Christian, my Church teaches the great value of sexual purity and modesty. This builds off the Bible, which also is very strong on this issue.

God Bless!
Good question. :)

What the hell is sexual purity? Seriously I mean no disrespect, I just would like to know what you mean by it.

If it is what pro-life is talking about I am all for it. A man who knows his woman was only with him will be more secure and this will cut down on fighting. Plus there is the added bonus of not catching something that will make your lady bits rot off. Good luck.
