I am in pain!

Today, we had a snow day, so me and my friend were rolling around in the snow, then throwing soft snow at eachother. Afterwards, my chin felt like I had burnt it, but it wasn't red, it felt like the rest of my face.

So a few hours ago, I tried to do a homemade pore peel, but it didn't work out. I was worried the thing I used to do the peel would clog my pores, so I found a recipe for a baking soda face wash and I tried it...Now my face is burning!!

It is burning everywhere, but especially in the spots where I have had pimples in the past 2 years! PLEASE HELP!

No, it wasn't a chemical peel.

You know those strips where you put them on and you can get the blackeheads out of your pores?

Well a homemade recipe at home, but I substituded a lot of ingredients, and it didn't work.

Okay, I just put some aloe vera moistureizer on it, and I feel better, gonna put a cool washcloth on it.

Okay, it is a lot better now.

So no more baking soda? Sorry, I am into homemade things, not creams and lotions you buy at the store.

Flush your face with lots and lots of clean, cool water. Not cold or ice; if you have a burn from playing in the wind or snow, that'll make it worse. Then, slather your face with aloe vera gel, as if you had a sunburn. If you don't feel better by morning, or if the pain gets worse, tell your parents. You might need a trip to the doctor.

I'm curious what else was in the homemade pore peel and face wash. The two might be reacting to each other.

Ignore the idiot responses about open flame and stuff. Some people feel better when they make fun of others' misfortunes.

Stop putting stuff on it. You are creating irritation over irritation. You should have just put a moisturizer on it. If you have any aloe vera gel, try putting that to soothe the burning, or just keep cold compresses on it. But don't put anything more on it. Althoug if you did some sort of peel you may have created a chemical burn of some sort. If it continues get to a doctor.

Wash ur face in warm water and then apply some cool moist lotion to it. Cuz more chillness will hurt the skin after a couple of hours.

Don't not wash ur face in soda water, that is not good for skin

Between the severe temperature difference and the harsh substance (baking soda is used in everything from food preservatives to heavy duty cleaners!) your face is screaming at you right now! Stop washing your face!! DONT TOUCH IT : P tomorrow morning cut up a cucumber and mash it...mix it with milk and apply to your face. Leave it on for about 10 minutes then wash it off...and once again...just dont touch it! You should be okay then...

Good Luck!

P.S Baking Soda is a BASE :)

Aloe Vera gel. You could have mild frostbite. If it starts turning different colors, go to the doctor.

the skin on your face is very sensitive so don't give yourself 2 or 3 facial treatments in one day. Especially after you fave been out in the cold and snow all day.

there might be too much acid in the baking soda....that could be eating your skin tissue,it will stop eventually, just wash it really good for a long time.next time put some water in the baking soda to make the the acid less powerful.

Try organic coconut butter cooled in the fridge. It's better for your skin than commercial beauty products and will feel great! It shouldn't clog your skin or irritate it.

If it's burnt from the wind or coldness, something you could try is diper rash cream. I ended up with sun posioning one time, use this and it stopped my face from hurting, and cleared up my face within 2 days.

Okay. I don't know what your problem is, or how to cure it really, but try this. Wrap some ice in a cold towel and lay that on your face. Or just soak a rag in ice cold water amd lay that on your face.
