If you want him to think that you are over him you need to stop the texting, every time that you communicate with him (even if it is to tell him you are over him) you are giving him a message that you still have an emotional connection with him.

And yes, I do know how hard it is, I am trying so hard not to text my ex-wife to tell her that I hate her-it is a really hard thing to do, but you gotta stay strong.

Just don't respond back to him in any way. You shouldn't have to be the one that makes all the changes. Ignore anything and everything about him. I have been there and it took a whole year for him to leave me alone but I didn't hide. I was adamant with him and that is all it took. I wish you the best with this situation because I know it can be very difficult.

If you are going to tell him that you are changing your number, you can still do it from your old number.

There are also telephone boxes where you can txt from.

I am glad you have seen this guy for who he really is. Txt him your feelings and tell him that if he txts you back or tries to phone or contact you, you will go to the police and report him for harrassment.

The sooner you do it the better. Do not answer his calls.

Use a friends phone, but then again, he will only text this new number. Just don't reply to the texts to your phone as though you've changed numbers.
But are you sure you're over him?

Nice to hear that you are getting over him. Try hotmail i think they might be able to help you out with the free texts and good luck for the future. I hope it all works out for you :).

WELL. just tell him he has treated you crud for the last time & dont bother to get in contact again. THEN. if he rings your home dont answer it. but before you text him hold you number back. if need be you could have his number barred.

personally, i'd never break up with someone through a text message. If it was someone i liked as a friend, but didn't love, i'd tell him to his face, kindly. if it was someone who hurt me, like your boyfriend hurt you, i'd make a scene of it, tell him off in front of a crowd, and make sure everyone can see clearly that it's over. then let him see you with your new boyfriend just to piss him off.

So sorry you are hurt again.
As you guys are not together any more, it is definitely a good idea to get over him. You need your life without him, so tell him to back off.
