I think the first were the Lickalotapuss. They are no longer roaming the earth, as they all died with the rest of the dinosaurs with the Large, very cold ice storm.

The oldest dinosaur types are known from rocks in Argentina and Brazil and are about 230 million years old. The most primitive of these types, Eoraptor, was a small meat-eating dinosaur.
