I am asking for a digital camera for Christmas. Does anyone know one that has good resolution/zoom/megapixles (all that technical stuff), is slim, and dosn't cost to much? Thanks!

I just Bought the Canon SD 700IS for about $300 it is similar to the 600 and 630...but the difference is that the 700 has optical image stabiliser which mean u have less blurry shots.. this camera is great i ordered it from Newegg.com and got a free 1gb Kingston memory for free.

Canon PowerShot SD600 is definately a great buy, with 3x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom, but might be too costly (around $250). However, any Canon's of the SD series are worth buying, they are all of good quality and durability. I warn against buying a Kodak or even a Sony, unless you're buying a top-line one, their cheaper are, well, cheap.

My Casio ex-s2 works great, but my brothers Casio with
6 mega pixels is even better. I'm sure it's because we both know
nothing about photography but the newer Casio can set everything automatically and the pictures come out great when
downloaded to pc.The drawback is the 6mp cost $300.00.

You can get the Panasonic DMC-FX01 6MP Compact Digital Camera with 3.6x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom for $216. That's one of the best in the market.

Check out the FujiFilm FinePix V10 and the FinePix Z3 if you want a nice slim camera.

If you buy on line, you can not go wrong with Newegg.com
