Convicts have no place in the military because they might just commit the same crimes that they had in the civil society.

Convicts are a problem of society! What you are suggesting is that the military should inherit societies ills. The armed services does not want or need people who can't or won't do the job. The chances of a convicted felon becoming a dependable warrior are slim to none.

you could purely connect in case you're a US citizen on your case. A visa isn't a green card and is not any longer everlasting. it quite is a astonishing ingredient which you experience so patriotic to a united states which legally isn't yours yet there are going to be people who contemplate whether there is an ulterior purpose for you serving interior the U. S. military. prepare for a green card. seek advice from the army recruiter and notice in the event that they could do something to hurry up a protracted technique that a good number of the time takes years. My purely question to you is why might you no longer serve in Romania's military considering it quite is your united states. regrettably an valid diplomatic visa won't artwork. seek advice from a recruiter and prepare for a green Card.

Depends on the convict. If he is a murder or child sex offender then my answer is yes. Don't let them have weapons or wear the uniform, but let them walk in front of the convoys. If they die, we loose nothing, but save good soldiers lives. If they try to run away... target practice. Keep are troops sharp.

Just having fun here.

Real answer NO! To many brave and noble men have scraficed so much and convicts don't deserve to wear the uniform. It is bad enough when someone wears it and tarnishs what it stands for.

Being in the military takes heart, will power, bravery, selflessness and is a honor. Besides that were would those who want to fight go? Much of the military is made up from people who want to fight.

But there are really to many reasons why that would be a disaster for me to speak of.

Like frosted flakes, G-G-G-Great question! Absolutely not! For several reasons:
(1) the military should not be a group of second class citizens made to risk death for the whims of the elitist government representing the interests of oil-hungry corporate capitalists.
(2) the military is capable of terrible acts of abuse including use of rape as a weapon of war, pillaging, robbery, etc. and convicts are also capable of similar crimes. Doubling the susceptibility for abuse and arming them with machine guns is not a good idea. Who will police the police if the police are worse than the criminals? Same applies to the military.
(3) the world already hates us enough for what our military is and does, why give them an even better reason by sending our least desirable citizens (criminals) out to their countries to terrorize them with weapons?
(4) forced military service is unethical, creates psychological trauma, and produces an unmotivated and less effective militia. Even criminals deserve the choice in whether they want to represent America and be part of war(s).
(5) the convicts could turn against us with the weapons we put in their hands. if they could be trusted, they would not be in jail.
(6) as an earlier poster stated, the government would have the incentive to convict many more people just to enlarge its militia forces.

No. You want people in the army who want to be soldiers. Forcing people to be in the army (whether convicts or not) is not a good idea.

No one in the military wants to be in combat with someone they can't trust. Placing convict with soldiers would end up getting people killed...and I don't mean the enemy

Well no silly, because that way they can raise any kind of stupid laws, bust people nearly at random and basically generate cannon fodder out of anyone they can get their paws on, at will! Girls included!

I sincerely hope you don't seriously tink any nation this day and age should be sending prisonners off to die if they're supposed to be re-socializing them so that they can at least make some positive contribution to society!
