I have a choice of 2 tv's:

-32" sharp SDTV-$375
or..
-27" insignia HDTV-$300

I dunno which to chose..its 4 my bedroom, but i still want a big tv, but PICTURE QUALITY matters BIG time!! which seems more logical?? i noe the age of HD is cumin, should i go ahead and spring the extra 75 bones and get tha smaller HD screen??

It sounds like the 27" HDTV would be the best for a bedroom
setting. The picture will be superior and it should be plenty big
enough. It's perfect if your viewing position is between 4½ and
9 feet away from the TV screen.

I would suggest you get the HDTV because after 2009 you will need a cable box to view broadcast on your SDTV. HDTV tvs above 26" should have a tuner built-in for this purpose. HDTV will also give you a better picture when viewing hd sources like cable, dvd and games.Make sure you check the spec for your tv to see if it has at least a resolution of 720 (this is a requirement for HDTV).

If you plan to get a HD receiver (satelite or cable box) or have off air HD signal, go with the HDTV. If you don't or don't plan to purchase one, go with the SDTV.
