Seeing how much the violence has gone up in the last weeks and months in Iraq, I wonder more and more who is the one who has gained an advantage of this, if there is any advantage to be gained by war.

Nothing has changed positively, hundreds of thousands of people are dead, and the only people who have gained an advantage are the fat cat-owned companies whose contracts to work or rebuild in Iraq have put billions and billions of American tax dollars into their pockets. Oh, yes, and big oil/gas companies, who have posted record profits every year since the war started. In case anyone was actually still wondering about why we invaded.

It has brought America closer to controlling all of those rich fields of easily-accessible OIL, which is a positive change for the U.S. oil industry. Their profits will soar as they continue to feed American motorists' dependency on foreign OIL. Too bad it's at the cost of 655,000 Iraqi lives and the lives of 2,800 U.S. soldiers. -RKO-

I'm not over there and have access to the same news we all get, But I'd say it's positively worse, and will get more so for everyone involved.
