(one of my favorites) bu4 jin4 zi2 tui4 If you go don't progress, you will digress
ài bù shì shŏu - love something so much cant leave it
jīnjīnyǒuwèi - with great interest
jīngdǎxìsuàn - meticulous planning and careful accounting
shíquánshíměi - completely perfect
wēi bù zú dào - insignificant
wànshì qĭtóu nán - starting is always hardest
fú wú chóng zhì, huò bú dān xíng - blessings come but once, troubles often repeat
zi4 you3 zi4 zai4 - happy go lucky
you3 zhi4 zhe shi4 jing4 cheng2 - if there is a will, there is a way
jiaō bīng bì baì - he that is arrogant always looses

Here are some proverbs. I had to translate the French into Chinese :
- 雨过天晴 = yu3guo4tian1qing2 = after the rain comes the nice weather (you get the main idea, I could find the correct word)
- 一寸光阴一寸金 = yi1cun 4guang1yin1yi1cun4jin1 = time is money
- 以眼还眼，以牙还牙 = yi3yan3hai2yan3, yi3ya2hai2ya2 = an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth
