There's been at least one case report published that suggested a link between heavy marijuana smoking and the onset of acute pancreatitis. In that case, as soon as the man quit smoking and the marijuana was out of his system, the pancreatitis symptoms went away. However, more research needs to be done to establish whether or not there is truly a cause/effect relationship here. If you have acute pancreatitis, though, you might want to consider giving up the MJ just to be on the safe side.

I don't see how it could effect it directly but smoking marijuana every day will weaken your immune system a little bit.
