Police need to provide evidence that you were at the scene (your fingerprints will suffice), and a reasonable timeline to place you at the scene of the crime. This is to make an arrest only, a conviction is another story. If they could provide these details and you had no alibi, then arrest is only dependant on the time it would take to find you.

They may not even have your fingerprints on file. If you've never been in trouble they probably don't. Also depends on the crime. They may not drive an hour away to get you. Besides, jurisdiction would probably have local police arrest you then pick you up.

it depends on the crime how serious it is sometimes the police just wait until someone makes another mistake or does another crime and if they are not busy they might come get you now driving up your street parking in front of your house getting out of the car walking up to the front door ringing the bell RUN RUN THEY ARE AFTER YOU

Depends, they might have local police respond, they might let you sweat it out while they collect evidence to make an airtight case, I'd suggest getting a good lawyer and thinking about a plea bargain ASAP.

You could go to the local police and turn yourself in--save the suspense of waiting. Just a thought. Bad thought--but a thought.

However long it takes them to drive that far...I'd say about 20 minutes, if it was bad...
You do the crime, and you do the time...

Believe me, you left all kinds of evidence behind. They will come to get you as soon as they find your name and address.
