. What's the old saying about two birds? One in the hat is better than two in the bush. It might not quite fit, but none the less you might be wiser to continue being loyal there. If you really decide he's not for you brake up. My advice is don't just brake the first guys heart because #2 came along and might looks better for the moment.

You get to choose who is going to enrich your life.
You are not someones poodle.
But be honest and as sensitive to your b/f about your decision... people appreciate honesty.

don't throw what you have away to upgrade, you'll break the other guys heart, and if the new guy breaks your heart, the guy you left might not be there to catch you

I had the same problem as you. I just went out with the new dude and see if I really felt for him what I felt for my bf. I'd suggest it but I dunno your opinion, lol =)
