She is a late bloomer when it comes to being in heat. Most females come in about 6-9 months. All females (any breed) are in heat for 21 days. One week coming in, one week in heat and one week going out of heat. You MUST keep her confined in the house during this time and when you let her outside, make sure she in on a leash with you holding it. She will attract every male in the area and you will have more dogs hanging out at your house and trying to get to mate with her than you can imagine.
She is not old enough to breed. She should be 2 yr old and vet checked for health reasons BEFORE she is bred. With all the unwanted Boxers in rescue I would have her spayed. DO NOT LET HER OUT ALONE DURING THIS TIME. IF A MALE CAN GET TO HER, YOU WILL HAVE A LITTER OF MIXED BREED PUPPIES. MAKE SURE SHE IS ON A LEASH AT ALL TIMES AND DO NOT TAKE HER AROUND OTHER DOGS OR FOR WALKS.
Good luck

EVERY dog is different!!!!!!!!!! Does not matter about the BREED. Just like all WOMEN have different cycles, so do dogs. Please spay....you are not knowledgable enough to breed!

ANYONE that thinks that all dogs have the same heat cycle must never have ahd more than one bit ch. I have three and they are ALL different. NOT ONE follow the "7 days" rule!!!! One has a total of a 14 day cycle, one has a 5 week cycle. One comes in heat every 4 months, one every 8 months. First heats are usually different from what they will be like in the future. Sometimes they never reach a "standing" heat the first one. Just do a little research on breeding and you will find your own information. If you MUST breed, you should not do so until after 2 when you have health clearances done.

This is from the Peteducation site...................................

The heat cycles of the female (*****) are caused and controlled by hormones that are produced and released by the ovaries and other glandular structures within the body. The ovaries are paired structures that become increasingly active when the animal passes through puberty, at the first heat cycle. This ranges from between five and eighteen months of age depending on the individual and the size of the animal. In the toy and small breeds, heat cycles occur as early as five months of age, while in the giant breeds, this may not occur until the animal is fourteen to eighteen months old. Typically, these cycles will occur every six to nine months throughout the life of the animal. In the very young and very old, there may be 'silent heats' with no outward signs that are detectable by the owner or sometimes even other dogs. Dogs do not undergo any form of menopause. There have been rare cases of heat cycles resulting in pregnancies at fifteen years of age.

The heat or estrus cycle of the female is divided into four different stages. There is great variation in the length of these cycles among individuals of the same breeds and among various different breeds. Additionally, the same animal may have significant variations over the course of a lifetime. It is therefore impossible to talk about the cycling of bitches using exact dates or time periods.

A Boxer is in heat the same length of time as any other breed/mix....21 days. I recommend that you set up a spay appointment for her for 30 days after she comes out of heat. The longer she is left intact the greater her risk for mammary cancer and reproductive cancers and also a serious infection, pyometria.

dogs generally are in heat for 21 days but best to wait 4 weeks if she goes anywhere she should only be on a leash a dog can mate in a minute or two or upto an hour even when playing with a neutered male teh male can still "get stuck" for as I said upto an hour she is best only walked near the house and kept totally away from all dogs sometimes teh ffemale will get tempermental and get in a fight even with another female or neutered male

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU7Ti

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

The heat cycle is seven days going into heat, seven days in heat, and seven days coming out of heat. You're looking a 21 days from start to end of a canine's heat cycle. All canines pretty much have the same heat cycle, just as they do the same gestation period of 63-65 days.

DOGS, When they come in heat, first week, they swell,
second week, they bleed,
third week they swell more, its in this week they breed.
the forth week they come out. So its for a whole month,
If you breed, mark the time on your calender, they hook up, it takes 63 days, then puppy's.
Dont breed the first heat, secound is fine.
