If all the ice in the entire world melted, it would raise the sea levels about couple hundred feet or so. The answer is, "almost anyplace that you were before". We're not going to have "Waterworld".

Truthfully no knows what may happen. However the bible says it will be unbearably hot in the last days. So perhaps the pollution, particularly greenhouse gasses will melt all the ice and trap heat as that is what CO2 does extremely well. This will cause the earth to warm at an excellerated rate and the ice on the mountains will be gone and so cannot cool the earth anymore. The winds will get hotter, causing more dryness and so causing more brush fires and forrest fires. We may loose a lot of our trees and grass. The oceans will rise and the land will be dry. Because of CO2 venus is hot enough to melt lead on the planets surface.

Let's use some common sense. Global warming is something that happens over hundreds of years to change the temperature one degree. I truly feel that global warming has been around since the beginning of time. We only now are recognizing it because we have the records of it happening over the last twenty years or so. I truly feel that it was something that was made into a national event because of the need for more and more jobs. Think about it. Now we have the e-check to check emissions on cars. that is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. Unless the whole world does something about global warming then nothing will change. Here is an example. Put ten smokers in the same room and have them all light a cigarette. Inhale the second hand smoke. Pretty nasty huh! Now tell one of the ten to put out there cigarette. Now inhale. No change at all. It is still just as nasty. Because of weather patterns, the air we breath Europe will breath tomorrow. It is a never ending cycle and the gov and scientists want you to believe otherwise(job security). Don't worry about higher ground because you will be long gone and buried and so will your grandchildren. Let's worry about the one who need our help.

You wouldn't have to worry, but perhaps people of other generations would. If Antarctica melted, the sea level would rise A LOT. Flip through Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth". He mentions something about that in there.

Live on a boat and you'll be fine.

With all due respect to Judy the Wench above, that's bull. The ice is currently floating on top of the current sea level (above the rim of the glass in her analogy) so when it melts her glass WILL overflow.

The highest land is out there in space. With all of our supposed intelligence, it may come to that. But meanwhile, you could go to the Himalayas in India..I'll come with you. We could try to find Shangrila and live forever with those monks who sing all the time.

It isn't inevitable at all, actually. The evidence for it is almost as non-existant as that of evolution. Once they start melting, worry about it. You'll manage fine.
