thoughts perish.
1 Cor. 15:51-54 We receive immortality when Jesus comes
again.

Gen 3:15-19. The first prophesy from God.
John 11: 11-15. Before Jesus raised Lazarus up from the dead, he spoke these words.
Ecc 9:5--Wise King Solomon prophesied about the condition of the dead.
I could give quite a few more-Job speaks of God having a yearning for him, so he also is asleep in death waiting for his call from The Most High Creator, Yahweh God.

And to those who are saved:
2 Corinthians 4:14
because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence.
